ABOUT

LONG LIVE MFG. goes as far back as our founder and creative director Alan Lee Bunao Jr.’s Chinese grandfather's story of migrating to the Philippine Islands from China with his brothers and sister in search of a better life. From sweeping the storefront and being a cargo loader for just enough money to eat. To building LONG LIVE General Store with a corner location facing the main ship port. Alan’s grandfather grew his company to the extent that it lasted generations ahead of him. Born in the Philippines, Alan immigrated here at a young age to become the man he is today. They say he resembles his grandfather in several ways.

Long Live Manufacturing has almost two decades of design and manufacturing experience. From being a college dropout to being a self-taught pattern maker and specializing in garment development to owning his own factory in Los Angeles. After a decade of working independently behind the scenes for several very successful companies, he believes it's time to release his own.

Long Live puts an exclamation mark on the artistic and creative process of the garment industry. From the art form of pattern making to the hand-made sewing process. From matching a color at a dye house or embellishment shop to the application of rivets and tack buttons. We feel that the mass market of the fashion industry has diminished its appreciation and artistic form. Long Live expresses the artistic aspects of the fashion industry where rules don’t apply anymore. It's like telling a painter he should not paint like that. Or telling a musician not to use his drums like that. LONG LIVE is ART. LONG LIVE CREATIVES!
